SCHOOL PREPARATION TIPS AND TRICKS
We go to great lengths to ensure personal safety in your home. This includes our comprehensive range of anti-burglar protection and barrier security products. But school safety is often neglected; it’s always a good idea to ensure your kids are alert in and out of the classroom.
Here are a few safety tips that every parent should teach their kids:
If your children walk to school, it’s important that they take proper safety precautions. Walk the route together first. This will help your child to learn the route to school and be aware of any dangerous spots. It will also put your mind at rest that they know where they’re going.
Unfortunately, the coast isn’t clear once your kids are at school. Safety outside of the home for children is becoming an increasingly complicated topic. Learn and make sure your child knows your school’s emergency response protocols. Panic usually occurs in response to confusion, so know the plan inside out.
Remaining alert after the final bell
If you won’t be picking up your kids, alert the principal or teacher if someone besides you or the person usually responsible for picking up your child is coming.
School safety is an important dinner conversation topic. Learning to be diligent on the way to, during, and after school can keep your kids out of trouble and keep them safe. And remember to encourage your kids to follow the instructions of teachers and administrators when an emergency occurs.
